In the furor by a few Vision-supportive journalists to discredit me by denying the Vision Vancouver media ‘hit list’, I had further conversations with the source. In those discussions I tried to get him to understand that healthy skepticism was giving way to attacks by those with vested interests to keep Vision Vancouver in power, and those, too, who decided that they need to discredit me, to up themselves.
Why was he taking so long to come forward and be interviewed? Where are the additional documents? Has he been found out? Was he okay?
It turns out that he was not okay. This is a fellow whose business relies on, let’s refer to it as, Vision “support”. Additionally, he’s now on anti-anxiety medication in the aftermath of his revelations that hit the CBC, CKNW and various other media outlets.
Of course, he was nervous through this interview, but he provides great perspective, in that (and I can confirm it) political parties are well-known to have all sorts of media lists; favorable and unfavorable. “It’s what you do with them…”
And he’s right. Clearly, Vision Vancouver have been targeting me and others on the list for a long time. The origins of the list are discussed, and some more information is gotten on who close to the Mayor of Vancouver has been involved such dirty ball.
The information is shocking, but not terribly surprising. Once again, it’s look like Vision Vancouver have torn yet another page from the BC Liberals’ playbook, from the section marked, ‘How to Screw Over Your Opponents with Under-handed Tactics’.
That’s not what Gregor Robertson pledged during the last campaign. In fact, quite the opposite.
Another Gregor Robertson lie? You be the judge.
Will there be those that discount this story? Sure. They always will. Detractors don’t matter to me. What does, is that since Vision Vancouver have been elected, the venom and viciousness with which they have attacked other politicians, media and former supporters, either through their various blogs or comments by councilors, have been unprecedented for their unacceptable tone and terrible nastiness.
