Stay Tuned for Monday…The REAL Story Behind the BC Liberal Convention–They’re in Very Deep Trouble and Badly Divided
In case the spin in the local media by political frauds like Mike deJong, has left you nauseated, too, I will have exclusive perspectives from deep inside the Premier’s silo about what a trainwreck the BC Liberal Party remains.
…and how truly unpopular Christy Clark is, even among those telling you otherwise.
Stay tuned…and GET READY, you will NOT want to miss this.
Enjoy the rest of the weekend.
I’m sure listening to the “Dummy” blathering on to anyone that would listen had a few teeth grinding in frustration.
As for the Media “Ass Kissing Contest” that seems to be the status quo….. Who really listens to their irrelevent spin on things? Apparently not the voters
I cant wait for Mondays’ expose’.
[Translate]
Clark and lieberals have commented at Whistler that they have a “bold vision for BC “. ………Broke and overun with Chinese miners! When CSIS officials were commenting that politicians in BC were too involved with some Chinese interests……a few years back……they may have been alarmed at possibilities coming forth in the development of resources….
[Translate]
I can hardly wait.
Go ahead Alex let us have it… all!
[Translate]
I never doubted for a minute that the Libs lacked the guts to challenge Crispy’s leadership (or lack thereof), and by not doing so they’ve handed the N.D.P. a huge majority after the next election.
[Translate]
The silage is fermenting…
[Translate]
Mmmm! Mmmmm! Mmmmm! Sour mash. Filter through some sugar maple charcoal ‘n’ age in an oak barrel you just might have something palatable.
[Translate]
no matter how “refined”.
If you have to have too much. It’ll still give you a massive headache.
A la 2 YEARS of Christy!
[Translate]
I could see through all the B.S. the media was throwing at us, there was never a doubt in my mind about the spin both the liberals and media were
Spewing….at one point in news coverage the arena they were in must have had less than 100 suckers in it, what a joke ….1000 people ….my ass!
Then watching hooker heels / bucket ass walk to the podium from behind made me wanna gag…..she is hideous….her ass is huge and her clothes are 2 sizes too small…..she is so far out of her league I’m almost embarrassed for her…..she’s getting what she deserves….she is literally a laughing stock
[Translate]
You know, Alex, it’s this kind of shit that brings your site down. No matter how bad Premier Christy is, there’s no excuse for misogyny.
[Translate]
Listen, you need a chill pill.
I don’t disagree that it’s preferable NOT to have that, but c’mon, misogyny??? Give it a rest. Christy uses her sexuality all the time, if she didn’t, wouldn’t have allowed the comment.
I like having you here. I’m glad you come over from The Tyee. But this ain’t the Tyee.
[Translate]
I have to say her sexualized behavour, when it should be professional, is one of the reasons I dislike her (and I think likely other women feel the same) but it is difficult to see / hear the allusions to hookers etc.
Again, my opinion only, but as a woman I would never enter the realm of political life (although I worked for an MLA) because of the way women are portrayed and judged. It’s part of the reason I left (the rest is a whole other long story and not because of the MLA)
WE, all of us, and that includes women in the field, need to stop sexualizing female politicians and leaders. It does none of us any favours.
Honestly, I wish CC would dress more appropriately at times, but truly, we should be judging her on her actions/ non-actions, not her shoes.
[Translate]
Odd though. Most male politicians dress in suits and ties. Even groovy, tattooed Justin Trudeau is wearing very nice suits. A poorly contoured woman who wishes to project herself would do well to wear stylish yet conservative clothes which smack of a degree of class.
Silly me, Christy has no class. None, to go well with her lack of intelligence and obviously zero skills in choice of fashion consultants.
If she has someone to help her with diction and grammar, that person never graduated.
[Translate]
bucket ass and hooker heels are apt descriptions.this woman has not earned respect.
[Translate]
Youre way out of touch Zalm…..it’s only her I despise
Misogyny ? Are you kidding me. It’s precisely why I commented on her appearance …or lack there of….with all her photo ops and attempts
To look all cutsey as a plow to draw in the public….trust me…she ain’t all that
[Translate]
If she knew how to do her job, hell, if she even QUALIFIED for the job, she wouldn’t have to flit about in hooker heels swaggering her bucket ass. I don’t see Alison Redford pulling the same stunts…. because she’s got more than 50 IQ points
[Translate]
Alison Redford couldn’t look sexy in a negligee, and I tend to agree with Zalm (not just because of his name) . Christie Clark is a very chunky, (some would call it “well stacked”) and though the shoes might help make things move alluringly, (or not) she’d look pretty dumb in cross-trainers!
[Translate]
Can we get into something serious please?
[Translate]
I ACTUALLY watched all of CC’s “Keynote address”. All I can say is I am glad I had wine… lots of wine…..
Kid of mine can judge crowd by space and applause. She figured fewer than 300 bodies. Including the command performance MLAs and their friends, families and etc.
Where did the over 700 other bodies go to?
[Translate]
Same place the islands in the strait went on enbridges maps, down the rabbit hole.
[Translate]
Seeing some of the pics people have posted on Facebook, the attendance looks like it’s half of what it was last year. Way to go, Krozo Klark.
[Translate]
alex
what we is witnessing is the death of a once powerful party however out of the ashes a phonex will rise.
i was in the pool today with some people from alberta their opinions of our goverment was most intersting.
you have a growing fan club down here as well
[Translate]
Good to know!
[Translate]
Clark should be careful. Stepping on the tail of the media cat and locking it outside can have dire consequences.
http://www.vancouversun.com/news/Palmer+Liberals+annual+convention/7459129/story.html
[Translate]
Alex read some of the tweets in the sun paper and they were so proud that CC knew every ones name that came to the Mic. I thought how hard can it be to remember six names. Cheers
[Translate]
I think there were eight.
Seriously, most were plants so that many members who hate her would be impressed.
Yes, I’m serious.
[Translate]
if you dont beleive alex … and if you have the time, go to cknw in the morning and check one of their polls that are about the liberals.
they tend to MASSIVELY shift around noon to 1 pm.
i watched a poll that was 78.3% of people saying the liberals had no chance of renewal turn around to 82% saying the liberals would be renewed….. all in less than an hour.
you dont think the liberals are actively rigging any poll they can and having friendly people call into nw….LOL!
[Translate]
I do believe.
Basi and Virk once told me the second Mike Morton shows, it’s always thus.
I believed them then, I believe them now.
[Translate]
If NW, Mike Morton, the LIEberals can do the “Pole Shuffle”… err… excuse me, the “Poll Shuffle” with impunity – can a Diebold cooked election next spring be far behind?
Christy Clark Wins By A Hair!
Christy says, “Whew that was close, but I won fair & square – like I always do… Everybody love’s me!!! What Diebold hackable software and chain-of-command issues? The temerity!”
[Translate]
I have also noticed those poll numbers changing drastically.
Thank you for clarifying the possible root cause…I thought I was going crazy and that the end of the world was upon us. If they choose to perform such antics on the surface, what’s happening behind closed doors? Is this how the less than intelligent play the game?
How can they re-calibrate their Party or their thoughts without knowing where the zero mark is? I would say – most of the Brains have left by now.
[Translate]
Let’s see. Christy & Co. have spent the last 6 months or so questioning the validity of every poll result that supposed credible pollsters have conducted on any number of feeble theories. Meanwhile her minions, many of which are earning their livings on the backs of the taxpayers, bombard a poll that probably has an accuracy of +/- 100%.
If you look up rudderless ship in the dictionary I’m sure you would find a picture of Christy Clark standing at the business end of the plank looking for the steering mechanism.
[Translate]
“…Seriously, most were plants …”
Houseplants?
[Translate]
It’s fixed and it shows. I wonder what will happen when their party is crushed into the mud? What will happen to these sycophants?
[Translate]
They’ll all recieve nice juicy severance packages from the NDP govt that boots them out.
THAT should be an election issue! No severance for anyone that has worked less than 10 years. 10 weeks pay max. Just like the private sector.
[Translate]
they will join whatever right wing party is formed to replace the liberals.
[Translate]
Yes … I was wondering if you had your eyes and ears if not your person up there in the High Country to witness what hi-jinks were taking place …
Looking forward to your report.
I didn’t know what to make of this tweet:
__________
@nspector4
Have to say that was a pretty good speech by Christy Clark #bcpoli #BCL12
__________
I
[Translate]
It’s called a lie.
[Translate]
Good God. Who could stand listening to the Dummy for that long?
She makes Caribou Barbie look like a road scholar.
Oh, and thank you Liberals, for not getting rid of the Carbon Tax bullshit.
The one thing that may have brought some votes to their side (yeah right, who am I kidding), and they blew that one too.
ALL LIBERAL BACK ROOM POWER BROKERS AND SITTING MLA’S DO YOU NOT SEE THE FARCE THAT IS YOUR LEADER!!????
GET RID OF HER, NOW!!
[Translate]
“Road Scholar”????? Good one, even if not intentional.
[Translate]
Oatmeal Gruff – coming from James1, it wasn’t likely intended LOL
[Translate]
O God NO NO NO!!!!! Keep Dummy as your “Elected” Premier till the next election PLEASE.
[Translate]
There’s a reason I brought an ipod to last year’s convention.
[Translate]
And I, as the ex-ChristyClarkFan, salute you.
[Translate]

clark supports free trade
http://lailayuile.com/2012/10/26/i-very-much-look-forward-to-the-ratification-and-implementation-of-the-canada-china-fipa-unelected-premier-christy-clark-during-the-canada-china-investment-summit/
[Translate]
FIPA implimentation by all levels of government in the deceptive style of the HST!
[Translate]
If FIPA is so beneficial, why has the entire process been surrepticious?
Seriously Alex. What’s your take on FIPA? Does the clandestine nature of this deal not have your spidey senses tingling?
[Translate]
I’m never comfortable with any such deal. I’ve said that before. I’m still looking into it.
I’ll have something this week.
[Translate]
Of course Clark supports this deal, it will benefit the rich and powerful and allow corporations more access and exploitation of Canadian resources with fewer checks and balances. What’s not to support?
My question is, where is Tsakumis on this issue? Somewhere between the frequent and enjoyable attacks on the Cheerleader and Herman Munster, shouldn’t AGT be addressing this agreement with an enormous and undemocratic regime, which gives away huge chunks of our sovereignty?
Or does AGT’s hero worship of Harper, who is really the one responsible for the deal, render him unable to act as a journalist rather than a Harper shill?
[Translate]
I’m always amazed by the utter stupidity of a few, who when they don’t get their way, resort to attempting a tie in with yet another conspiracy.
Please demonstrate where and when I have exhibited hero worship for anyone. I am against Enbridge’s pipeline and view the closing of the Kits Point Coast Guard station with equal disdain. I campaigned and voted against the HST and preach against allowing for any quarter of social conservative bozo eruptions, like those recently on abortion or gay marriage.
I’ve already made my point that I am uncomfortable with this agreement, but do not know enough about the details to comment yet.
I also made clear, that I would be writing about it some time this week.
Instead of being a partisan ass, you could have recounted the above instead insulting me.
To wit, if your intent wasntonsmear me with the accusation of bias, you only served to reveal yourself.
[Translate]
Thanks for the link. if she is so on-side, why has this not appeared in the MSM? Why is she not reiforcing this position at the convention? Does she have a sense the public is uneasy about the deal?
[Translate]
Who’s the idiot with the motion trying to make BCTF membership optional? Clark can forget about smooth negotiations and a 10 year agreement after this stunt.
[Translate]
I agree. Maybe we should insist on a tattoo ( ☭ ), on the forearm, to show solidarity for the BCTF?
Da, Da, Dix.
[Translate]
free enterprise party in the liberals minds means workers should have their rights stripped away from them.
as i pointed out to a nice lady on the bus a few months ago… the BC liberals are not conservative, they are not center (liberal) and they are not left.
they are a corporate party. they dont give a dam about the people they represent at all…… except on election day.
[Translate]
WhiterockJ, you are right, the LIEberals have no left, right or center – they are the bitch of the corporations – thus, The Corporate Party, aka The Fascist Party.
[Translate]
fascism is the beleif in a single person. a single person can be held accountable for their actions.
corporations are entitie’s that do not have individuals that can be held accountable for their actions. (generally speaking)
in fact if you look back at the 11 year history of the liberal party in power you will find a lot of similarities between the way their party acts and the way a corporation acts. when something goes terrribly wrong they find a scapegoat to blame, without any real repercussions for that person… rather than accept resposibility…make some half assed promises, then move on as if nothing ever happened.
if it ever gets really bad, what does a corporation do????
THEY REBRAND, THEY CHANGE THEIR NAME.
then back to business as usual.
[Translate]
Where does that place the NDP? They allow some unions seats at their convention, and the list of endorsements from many candidates (including Adrian Dix) reads like a directory of unions in B.C.
I’d also throw out that Fascist Party nonsense.
[Translate]
If anything resembles the ‘fascist’ style government, its what we have seen the in the US the last four years. A “Dear Leader’ whose followers are deliriously in love with (cult of personality), crony capitalism, and a top down government, trying to be in charge of everything.
I don’t think anyone can really say that many found Campbell to be a ‘Dear Leader’ type, if anything, the opposite, he wasn’t really loved, but we bought into the policies, at least during Term 1.
But yeah, in general, throwing the fascist term around, is akin to calling someone a Nazi, or Hitler, Godwin’s law is invoked.
[Translate]
well donations from organized unions and corporations/business’ should be banned.
such organizations have zero place in our electoral system imho. the individuals who are part of these organizations should be all the representation they are allowed.
[Translate]
Actually I have always wondered why the government doesnt charge the unions for collecting their dues. They should be paying the government at least 1-2 points for being their bill collector. Otherwise the unions can always opt to collect from their members directly.
[Translate]
They want to do that but the collection of dues is entrenched in all contracts.
[Translate]
It would sure be something.
A little freedom now and then won’t hurt anybody.
After all, the Commies in Eastern Europe had to put a wall up during the Cold War. Why?
To keep people in.
“Freedom has many difficulties and democracy is not perfect. But we have never had to put a wall up to keep our people in — to prevent them from leaving us”
JFK
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4KwBPA104-4
If Christy Clark was a Kennedy or a Pupatello or a Mills in true right wing liberal fashion, she would stand outside the BCTF and show the world that free association means the freedom to leave and the freedom to exclude. It’s not like you or Sir Alex can join the BCTF – and for good reason. But if you want to teach, you must join the far left BCTF.
Insanity.
[Translate]
Go get em Alex. We all owe you many-many thanks for disclosing some of the corruption the Lieberals are into.
As for this so called convention, I heard it was a lying contest and at this point Fat Coleman is in the lead with some more whoppers which he is famous for.
[Translate]
Triple Whoppers… with extra cheese for everybody!
Courtesy Rich Coleman – campaign chair!
[Translate]
I tyhink she’s the best premier we’ve ever had…tits wise.
Can I say that, Alex?
Can I say I like her tits?
[Translate]
You get one Mulligan.
[Translate]
Patrick, Patrick, Patrick!
I’m not sure why, but you’ve got me visualizing red, square-cornered hot water bottles!
[Translate]
Actually I think Patrick got two mulligans……
[Translate]
Just one muligan? In this case shouldn’t it be a pair of muligans ?
“Red square-cornered water bottles? 99 Red Baloons, The Scarlet Letter, The Red Badge of Courage, The Red Menace, Cincinnati Reds, Red Serge, St. Geoge’s Cross, red tide, seeing red, redrum (it is halloween afterall), but “red square-cornered water bottles” ? I’m just not getting it. Just a bit thick.
[Translate]
Hilarious post!
I’m visualizing a CC Halloween costume, stripper heels, short, tight skirt, pointy boobs in a sweater two sizes too small, and a grotesque ear-to-ear smile, kind of like a female version of Jack Nicholson’s The Joker. Is that scary or what?
[Translate]
I gotta disagree. Like with everything christy clark they are a mess too.
[Translate]
http://www.theglobeandmail.com/news/british-columbia/bcs-clark-rallies-liberal-faithful-around-a-stay-the-course-message/article4710849/
Please Lord, is there no mercy and relief from that which afflicts us?
[Translate]
None.
[Translate]
Here’s an interesting comment from the above Globe & Mail article!
Christy needs to find some new friends to play with!
“Steven Carter, Christy Clarks newest best friend should fit in well with this crowd, he is just as sleazy as the rest of the Liberals.
Carter, the strategist behind some of Alberta’s biggest political plays of recent years and Redford’s newly-minted main man, owes more than $600,000 in court-ordered judgments — including more than $400,000 owed to the University of Calgary and more than $91,500 to Stampede Entertainment Inc. — against his now-defunct company Carter McRae Events.”
[Translate]
I read that they did a NHL theme ?
They do realize the NHL is on strike? Don’t they ?
I don’t even like hockey and even I would think thats a bad idea.
LOL what am I saying…..they are the liberals …. they will fix that also.
[Translate]
N.H.L.
No Hope LIEberals!
[Translate]
Going to be an interesting post on Monday. Look forward to it, Alex.
Did anyone notice that through all the “feel good yak yak” by Snooki, her cheshire cat grin never once reached her eyes. It was all a show for the lamestream media hacks that pose as reporters these days.
Beyond unbelievable.
[Translate]
Bruce W, I too noticed her eyes and her body language. What I saw was glimpses of a woman spurned.
Mouth anything you want, but there are better identifying factors than the spoken word.
Cheers
[Translate]
The big north coast earthquake is certainly pushing the convention news aside on Global.
[Translate]
Not CTV, though, on the late news.
The untrained eye would think it’s all rah-rah and happy-happy in the Liberal camp.
[Translate]
Radio clips from BCLib speeches suggested audience was slow to cheer – many Libs seem resigned to losing – but BCLib backroom bosses don’t care because they have a plan to win based on bamboozling the voters with media propaganda, rigged polls, canned news, cheap shots, crazy promises – and not just for four weeks of an election campaign but seven months of more of the same!
Christy will be travelling 24-7 and hiding from the Legislature like a scofflaw trying to evade a bill collector or process server. She has so so much to hide – as you Alex personally know perhaps better than anyone – and yet she has the cojones to claim she has nothing to hide. It is too much to endure without protest. Best wishes at cooking her goose.
[Translate]
This ranks as one of the best comments ever on this blog.
[Translate]
Yes, an excellent comment, JMT. Sharp and tight and full of jewels.
I’ve got to hope that the mainstream media will finally push back and expose these sham artists for what they are.
From what we’ve been told, the donations well has dried up for the BC Christies… so if they’re going to spend money on a come-from-behind loss, it will be OUR province’s treasures that they’ll be pillaging.
Keep the heat on, Alex!
[Translate]
And as Mackin points out, Clark has been and will continue to campaign on the public’s dime.
http://2010goldrush.blogspot.ca/2012/10/premier-photo-op-and-185000-charter.html
The impropriety, unscrupulousness, and mendaciousness of it all is repugnant. Yeah. Yeah. They all do it, but none as brazenly as this harridan.
[Translate]
Correct.
[Translate]
Correct me if I’m wrong, but hasn’t she spent more in travel per year than her predecessor did?
[Translate]
I am wondering if she will try and hide from a debate too? I don’t want to underestimate her but I really don’t think she could be THAT stupid. Maybe have a liberal planted moderator or something but surely she wouldnt try to skip it.
Then again I can imagine hearing “british columbians don’t want to hear us argue, they want our boots on the ground telling them what we are going to do for them, what we have done for them.”
Nevermind that we’ve essentially been on a taxpayer paid vacation since I was elected (bhahaha) we need 4 more years to get this stuff done…. thats why we did NOTHING this year.
[Translate]
So when are you gonna post the link to Sun News, or is there some kind of copyright problem? Because of my scatter-gun work schedule, I was not able to watch the original.
As I said in an earlier appearance you had with this avant-garde network – it is like getting an invite to the royal enclosure at Ascot! I’m sure, however that it was equally edifying for them. (He said, mendaciously, persuasively!).
[Translate]
Apparently, their news wire links are all down. No clue what the issue is.
[Translate]
I will tell you what pissed me the F off this morning. I mean I am PISSED. I will tell you and every single British Columbian political junkie.
Some party chickened out at the 1 yard line. This isn’t Sara Mac’s party, this isn’t Gordon Campbell’s gold medal party and it is most certainly not Alise Mills’ swashbuckling action figure hero party. Why Mary Rose Polak is still a member surpises me.
Now why am I so wound up at 0750 Hours on a Seahawks Sunday at BC Politics?
Because the BCLibs – oops the Sara the Gum and Cute Canute Party – didn’t have the guts to go for it and make membership in the far left-wing leaning BCTF that gets up every morning praying to Saint Karl Mark voluntary. Just voluntary.
Damn, I wish I had backed Kevin the Falcon now. He’d have let Mary Polak gun the ball in and let her have a touchdown dance. Goodness gracious you can’t even go out there and make membership in the BCTF voluntary?!? No wonder @BCLibFan has gone quiet on the Twitters… no wonder Alise Mills isn’t their rock star pundit anymore… no wonder only 1,000 people went to this convention – it certainly isn’t a rock concert anymore!
Sorry Sir Alex, but I had to blow off some steam. Big time.
You’ll like the Breitbart clip though: http://www.breitbart.com/Breitbart-TV?id={B1C6211F-51CC-4E7A-915E-C3F07E1C44F8}&title=War-2
[Translate]
Judging from past behavior…”free enterprise party” equals “how much can we squeeze the taxpayer without them knowing, or getting caught”.
Sooner or later “the piper” has to be paid…I believe the price will be quite high, for numerous members of this soon to be “has been” regime.
It matters not, how much or where the “sunshine is being blown”, or how much lipstick you put on “a pig”, the results will be the same…outright political oblivion.
Stupidity..it is a “learned” behavior!
[Translate]
The Liberal Convention gave one the impression that this was a gathering of well healed folks desperately looking for a way to keep their collective noses in the public trough.
[Translate]
Surely you meant “well-heeled”, not successful clients of the medical profession or Benny Hinn?
[Translate]
I did. Thanks for the correction.
[Translate]
These people are disgusting. WIth a tsunami warning, Minister Bond holds a conference call an hour AFTER waves were to hit the west coast. And all she does is was play pure politicis: repeat that she and the premier were notified right away and are supporting efforts–well I sure as hell hope so.
In their prepared remarks, they DID NOT even say who was at risk, or where, or what they should do!!!! This is an emergency. People need information for their family’s safety!
They didn’t even send out a news alert or release!
Our top public safety leader didn’t bother to tell people they should evacuate and move to higher ground. Thank god it wasn’t a serious situation. Bond needs to resign immediately. Our lives can’t be left in her incompetent “leadership”.
Listen to the call yourself on the Emergency Management BC website under latest audio clips on the right hand side of the page:
http://www.emergencyinfobc.gov.bc.ca/2012/10/tsunami-warning-issued-for-community-date-time.html
Alex please follow this up, someone needs to protect the people of this province in an emergency and it clearly isn’t going to be the premier or minister Bond. I fear for British Columbians.
[Translate]
I watched an interview with a member of Emergency Management BC last night on “The National”. She was being grilled on why they did not issue a tsunami warning until an hour after one was issued in the United States. She said “the earthquake is your warning”.
Unbeliveable.
[Translate]
Hi Alex, The convention sounds as if it was a doozy! It was interesting to heay from vaughn that when the media was thrown out on Saturday, they could hear Rich Coleman quite learly because of his booming voice but no family secrets spilled at that moment. What was truly interesting is that one delegate acted as a human doorstopper so the door was open so reporters could hear what was being said. That says a lot.
Her stand on the Chinese miners is truly stupid. I’ll bet the union here will have a field day on this issue-they’re being protected from a dangerous job, a job they can’t apply for because they don’t speak Mandarin? As well, sounds as if Chinese foreign workers can be sacrificed to do the heavy lifting and and dirty work?
What I really want to know is why she is so silent about the loomimg trade deal with China, a trade deal that will strip provinces of many powers? She can huff and puff and challenge Redford but nary a word to Harper?
[Translate]
I’m not comfortable with the deal either but am still trying to get s better handle on the real details, as opposed to spin and fluff.
[Translate]
What’s with the soft soap interview with Christy, by Michael Smyth?
http://www.theprovince.com/strength+comes+from+church/7459657/story.html
And, for some reason, they are not allowing comments. That’s regular practice for Vaughn Palmer — but Smyth is usually open for comments.
“Okay, boss… I’ll do what you ask of me — but I must insist that comments be blocked.”
[Translate]
The only thing wrong with this article is the title. It should read,”Michael Smyth Captured By Aliens”. It feels about as authentic as the “confessions” Soviet authorities used to extract from people they were about to shoot.
[Translate]
Very weak by Mike. Very weak.
[Translate]
Even worse was Leslie devoting the last half hour of his show to Snooki’s speech to the converted with maybe 2-3 mins for comments from the opposition. But then really no surprise there I guess.
[Translate]
The media in this province are many times an embarrassment.
[Translate]
At least the National Post is letting the country know why the busy BC women are not promoting CC.
http://fullcomment.nationalpost.com/2012/10/29/by-brian-hutchinson-b-c-premier-says-women-too-busy-to-support-her/
What a joke.
[Translate]
Indeed.
[Translate]
Mr Hutchison seems to have a pretty good grasp of Ms Clark’s shortcomings.
I must agree with Christy in that I also say what I have to say to get rid of those annoying suppertime telephone pollsters.
One word.
“Click”
[Translate]
Bruce is an exceptional journalist.
[Translate]
“What’s with the soft soap interview with Christy, by Michael Smyth?”
could it possibly have something to do with the millions upon millions the Bc libs are currently spending of government….err our money to promote themselves?
[Translate]
Sorry Alex but by the time you comment on FIPA it will have been become effective, a done deal, this week I believe. The treaty amounts to treason on Harper’s part.
[Translate]
I cannot comment on a matter that I haven’t had a chance to look at in depth.
I feel no ‘sorry’ about it and think your characterization of Harper is absurd.
Show me its history. Demonstrate the massive fall out. What is the end result? There are no positives? Where are the sure negatives.
And why am obliged to comment prior to being passed if it’s a foregone conclusion?
Some of you and your hatred of Harper provide a sad comedy to the discussion.
Grow up!
[Translate]
Complete agreement.
So why is it that anything done by Harper is “treason” while anything proposed by Mulcair would be “good for Canada”?
It is a sad comedy, esp. the comments that say Harper should be charged with a crime or Harper committed [ name of "crime"]
One can only imagine what will happen when after the next election
Canada learns its Prime Minister is Justin Trudeau..
[Translate]
no offense to alex or seymour, but just because the federal conservatives are the best choice of the three federal parties we have at the moment does not mean they dont make mistakes.
anyone ever heard of the kits coastguard station????
i personally will give harper and the cons a pass on the northern gateway project as it is a project that will be VERY good for most of Canada… at the expense of BC unfortunately if it goes through.
which reminds me… does anyone know if the bloc will be running candidates in BC next election??? if northern gateway goes through and kits gets closed, i will have to find someone to vote for.
[Translate]
I praised Justin Trudeau on his run for leadership. And I still do. If he does it right it will bring new younger blood to Canadian Politics.
Having said that, Conrad Black had a great comment about Justin.
“His best asset is surviving childbirth”.
The Federal Liberals under Justin or anyone else have another election to go before they have a chance at power. Tom Mulcair is an F-35 with an engine defect. An F-35 goes straight up, but comes down and crashes quickly when its engine fails.
What ever happened to that young guttersnipe NDP girl who got elected last time in Quebec? By accident. The bi-lingual one with no English. I forget her name.

The young female new NDP MP in Quebec that you refer to is Ruth Ellen Brosseau.
You’ve got it backwards about her not speaking English. Part of the fuss about her election is that she spoke little French despite her surname, yet was elected in a riding that is almost entirely French speaking. She has apparently worked hard to overcome that since being elected.
And what makes her a guttersnipe?
[Translate]
hmmm, the fact that she’s totally green at politics and probably wont “owe” favours to every businessman in her riding with a business oppuortunity to quote on.
Pay ,pay,pay,

There is no quarter given from this corner to Mulcair, and certainly the thought of even considering Trudeau is laughable in the extreme.
But we’re talking about this treaty and the fact Harper is binding us to it without parliamentary debate.
Seems contributors here, including myself, have nothing but disdain for one Christy Clark over her use of closure and a refusal to have the house sit to debate the issues. So why does Harper get a free ride on this treaty?
And if it’s a done deal, what’s the point in commenting post implementation?
Read the deal and see if Harper is looking out foremost for Canada’s best interests. If he is, why would he agree to the legal implications contained in the treaty?
I don’t have a hatred of the man, but I don’t agree with this treaty with China. To me absurdity lies in his signing of it and the fact he feels the need to ramrod it through without discussion among Canada’s elected representatives. What’s the big flipping secret?

Premier Christy Clark told reporters the Boessenkool investigation was handled by the Public Service Agency. So why no records? [10:20 am]

PSA says there were no correspondences between its head, Lynda Tarras, and Ken Boessenkool. So… How was this investigation done? [10:22 am]

Re: Boessenkool. Tarras told me she headed the investigation herself and reported to the premier. All without a scrap of paper? [10:30 am]

Have no fear! Bill Good will be all over this, and expose the “investigation” for what it was, a bald faced lie.
Nobody, and I mean nobody, pulls the wool over Bill’s eyes or his crack Producer Jessica.
Cheers.
