(UPDATED) Tsakumis Across the Province: Back in Beautiful Kamloops Again!
Dear Friends:
Please join me and radio legend Jim Harrison this morning from 9:08am to 9:30am on CHNL AM 610, or you can listen live by Internet as well, here.
We’ll be talking provincial politics, including the rapidly evolving BC Conservative meltdown, Christy’s failure to understand the Enbridge file–among other files, and the NDP’s, for now, flashes of brilliance.
And we’ll try and sneak in some thoughts about a fellow named Trudeau…if time permits.
Stay tuned!
___________________________
And, here, is a superb piece, once again, by Gary Mason, who clearly gets it–the BC Conservatives are in full “disintegration mode” under John Cummins. He should either resign or face his challengers–and NOT dismiss them a la Marie Antoinette.
Oh dear, there’s an image…
More on the way!
___________________________
UPDATE:
For those of you that missed the show, you may find the link, HERE.
Your pithy comments are expected–both lavish compliments and withering criticisms, welcome!
Enjoy!
And I’ll be back tomorrow with more exclusive intel on the disintegration of the BC Conservative Party!
Including some internal emails between disgruntled constituency presidents and the BC Conservative President Al Siebring–who either has a very bad memory or is a first rate cover-up specialist–all in the service of the Geritol Jesus.
And all that here, with up-to-the-moment news on BC’s provincial political scene.
Your comments on the 40 yeart old “youth” standing for federal Liberal leadership were fitting.
His inexperience and lack of accomplishment are striking – and the Liberals want another coronation!
[Translate]
Thank you.
Yeah, since when is forty plus years old young? This guy has had ample time–and opportunity in his life to accomplish something politically. He’s done nothing. Trudeau is a shell. A suit, and nothing more.

Alex: How do you prefer your crow? Roasted, fried, BBQ? Any condiments? I’m certainly no fan of Lyin’ Brian Mulroney but I will admit that he was a wily politician. If he says that people who underestimate Trudeau do so at their own peril, I would listen.
[Translate]
Lovely. A comment totally out of context. Publish his full comment, first.
No one into be underestimated.
But someone without any substantive track record is easily dismissed.
If not beaten.
[Translate]
Sorry KennyD.
I won’t be voting for Trudeau – he has yet to show me what he has to offer, work related experience, knowledge… anything but his current last name. It is unsettling to me to see how people get wrapped up in fake idols. This boy has never grown up – never had to. It’s more than obvious that his name is his key attribute.
[Translate]
Alex,
FYI, Brian was interviewed by Amanda on Lang & O’Leary (CBC) last week and they discussed a few topics. Mulroney was tooting his horn on what he accomplished when he was prime minister but he also brought up a very valid point. Canada has the oval office door open to us, we are #1 on the friends of U.S. list, he mentioned we don’t want to be #17. Right at the end of the interview he was asked what he thought about Trudeau running. He mentioned he was affable, liked by the younger population and not to be underestimated. This is what I interpreted from what he said; he’s just the type of bobblehead that the sheep are looking for in a leader. Hey, what do you think the oval office will think of him when he goes to visit Cuba? Scary that a mini-me Margaret Trudeau has the potential to come to power in Canada.
[Translate]
Right, but what Brian said and what Kenny is claiming are not the same.
Mulroney’s comments are not a tacit approval of Trudeau as a candidate. No one suggested anyone should underestimate him. I’m simply saying he remains unqualified.
Besides, Brian is still pissed at Stephen. There’s a little Mulroney payback in there too.
[Translate]
Exactemente! That’s what I was implying (with some background on the interview since Kenny G there was blowing his sax with no back-up singers to tell the story).
That’s why you have the blog and I don’t, you are succint!
[Translate]
Alex, as a writer I would expect you to be well versed in the use of semantics, albeit at a higher level than what you have exhibited in this thread. Is not desribing Trudeau as “easily dismissed” and “unqualified” not the same as underestimating him?
[Translate]
Not at all.
He’s unqualified and easily dismissed because of it.
That doesn’t mean that the whorehouse that is the Liberal Party of Canada won’t put out their best efforts to bring their shiny pony across first.
[Translate]
We will have to agree to differ.
[Translate]
Happily.
[Translate]
How does slagging Trudeau’s father and mother add anything to the discussion?
[Translate]
No one snagged anybody. Statements of FACT delivered with some Tabasco. If you don’t like it, don’t eat!
[Translate]
The innuendo was there, whether you care to acknowledge it or not. I am proud of some of the things my parents did and accomplished and not so proud of some of the opinions and attitudes that they held. Am I to be held to account for their perceived shortcomings for the rest of my life?
[Translate]
What the hell are you talking about???
No one is holding Trudeau acclu table for his parents’ insanity. He’s done enough on his own.
[Translate]
This must be a first in politics – a party that wants its members to leave. great way to get to power!
[Translate]
Yeah, it’s remarkable isn’t it?
Cummins can’t take the heat so he wants everyone else to get out of the kitchen.
Huh?
[Translate]
I missed the show, but due to the power of the internet
Here is the podcast link to the show for anyone else that missed it..

I listened to the podcast and I must say It was a terrific interview. I can only hope the individuals in question listened as well! Yes, another interesting week is beginning to unfold. I am curious to hear what the next polling results will bring.

So now you’re “haughty”. That’s a new one.
So what does that make Alan? I don’t feel too bad for him, though; the poor guy probably feels he has no choice but to back Jesus. Or he just isn’t smart. One of the two.
[Translate]
I will be featuring this piece and the one from Bernard vonSchlepper.
Both utterly pathetic and easily debunked.
You’ll see that tomorrow.
[Translate]
Its too bad the local pundits of the lame stream media dont have the abilities of Gary Mason.
He is making them all look very, very small.
Something is going on at Hydro re Site C. Havent been able to get any confirmed facts but rumours are that Christy is making demands and that the techical people and engineers are balking…at something…dont know what. The LIEberals put one of their own in charge of Site C a couple of years ago but there seems to be a bit of a revolt going on…? No one has been fired or re-assigned….yet.
Have you heard anything or care to share an opinion Alex?
[Translate]
Haven’t heard anything yet.
And total agreement on Gary. He’s leading the MSM. No question about it.
[Translate]
Interesting show Alex. Love the mental image of dummy wearing a straw granny Clampett hat while being milked by the voters.
While your points were spot on ,as expected the Conservative rebuttal left a lot to be desired. The fellow seemed to go speechless every time any of your point’s were raised .So much so that at one point I thought he was going to choke with his lame attempt to discredit you and all of us for not agreeing with the second cumming of Cummins..
Trudeau observation is also spot on. Empty shell to equal the head fit’s.
Have a good week and looking forward to the next installment of join john or die in hell club.
[Translate]
Thanks for the play-by-play on the Cummins Catastrophe, Alex. Mind blowing!
–
Good, solid stuff with Harrison this morning. Glad that your work is receiving airplay to spread the facts as far and wide as possible.
–
Any bits of info out there on the Comptroller? Seems there’s still a story to be told.
[Translate]
I’m putting it all together.
[Translate]
Hi Alex , hope you had a great Thanksgiving !
Good article by Bill Tielman today about Christy . Seems like she has no shame . What a hypocrite !
[Translate]
I listened to the show and enjoyed it! I know many people in Kamloops, and all of them can’t stand the Christy Party!
[Translate]
Imagine my surprise as I woke up in a small fishing cabin in the Cariboo, tuned into the only station we get, and heard your conversation with Jim Harrison.
Even up here in the wide open spaces, another breath of fresh air is always welcome.
[Translate]
As usual Alex hit the nail on the head…good to hear from you up here in sunny Shuswap!! Cheers
[Translate]
omfg….
the provincial liberals have decided to fund a “funmobile” to drive around the province and teach children how to play….
it also has an app (for smart phones i guess)…..
WTF????
was i dreaming or was the liberal minister of finance not in the news a few weeks ago talking about how terrible our finances looked?
why not put this money into sports programs or funding for a skatepark…. something usefull…do children really need a van full of adults driving around the province teaching them how to play tag and hide n’ seek?
[Translate]
How about PST exemption for sporting items? .. re: pre-HST
[Translate]
I guess the budget doesn’t apply to these parasites..
[Translate]
I won’t say no to skate parks!
[Translate]
There’s a fire starting in my heart,
Reaching a fever pitch and it’s bring me out the dark
50% of this province do not forgive the Liberal sins
yet I will not accept that Dix is going to win
Cummins is a wingnut
It seems that all the doors are shut
Count your blessings and stand up to the call,
its time for a new party with no strings to it all.
The rogues in BC are paving the way to hell!
[Translate]
….the time has come, now ring the bell!
[Translate]
great show alex.
you described so eloquent,y what is wrong in bc and the national scene.
i agree voter turn out will suffer because people are so fed up.
if jt did not have his fathers name he would be a third round liberal leadership canidate hoping to make to the second round and if lucky a cabinet post.

All bullies are the same. They are basically cowards that push and snivell loudly to get their way or an advantage of some kind. When someone with integrity stands up and confronts them, suddenly the bullies are self proclaimed “Victoms.” I am right and you are wrong they scream. All the while self delusion cannot hide the truth they have become a laughing stock. Goodbye and farewell JC and to you Dummy. The next goverment will be far from perfect and yet a breathe of fresh air.
[Translate]
Good one again Alex. And here I thought Snooki and company were the only ones with the “Ready – FIRE- Aim” mentality. Cummins and his bunch are joining her on the podium, much to the dismay of all of us hoping beyond hope to have something to vote for in the next election.
The idiocy of BC politicians never ceases to amaze – must be something in the air.
[Translate]
You have quite the radio voice there, AGT
[Translate]
Thanks.
[Translate]
Listened to the pod cast Alex, Nice to listen to a Political interview with no spin no lies just the facts , Cudos to you and Jim Harrison. for a man with no credabiliy you sure have the attention of British Columbian’s. Another \Great one Alex.Cheers
[Translate]
“No lies just the facts”, I nearly creamed my pants with laughter, thats hilarious.
[Translate]
Tell us what was so funny.
[Translate]
Well said, KeithC.
[Translate]
With the BC CP in turmoil I wonder how many of them will vote NDP to avoid another BC Liberal government? After all, didn’t Cummins himself vote that way in 2009?
[Translate]
” The next government will be far from perfect and yet a breath of fresh air.” I realize there are a number of people who dislike the BCNDP but they will be the next government and they will need the full support of all of BC to convince MR. HARPER that the northern gateway pipeline will be a disaster for the environment of northern BC. Our NDP gov ernment needs our approval and we need our new NDP government we as British Columbians can make it work.
[Translate]
Don’t bogart that joint ♪, my friend ♫ …
[Translate]
The Northern Gateway will be a “DISASTER”?
There are already many miles of existing oil/gas pipelines that are running just fine… and in BC no less!
In my opinion the NDP* are ‘more equal pigs’ that, at this moment, already have the energy companies throwing bags of money at them; in case $*it happens and they DO win the election…
The pig always knows which end of the trough is best!
[Translate]
Forgot to add:
*The NDP provincially and federal are the same…. no need to state the province in which they operate.
[Translate]
FYI folks Alex is about to critique Alan Forseth and Bernard Von Shulmann.
This should be interesting.
[Translate]
Bring smelling salts for both…their going to need them.
[Translate]
I read Bernard’s stuff. I need Gravol.
[Translate]
The man is insufferable. Spin is one thing but what he wrote was pure bullshit.
[Translate]
‘Politics’ in this province are so bizarre–
How about a pun—- “Christy vs Christ-y” –( am not anti-religion), the Lieberalls and Conservatives are out doing the bizarre-ness!!
[Translate]
Go away for a bit and a look what happens. Interesting behaviour about the self destructing BC Conservatives. Poor old John just does not get it. I’m sure some retirement home will welcome him once he takes the BC Conservative party to Titanic like depths. I’ll have to listen to the podcast later this week!
BTW, I saw an interesting Charger the other day on 1st Ave then Boundary. Had a very sweet sound coming from it as it rumbled down the road. Was zat your ride Alex?? If so, very very nice!
[Translate]
That was me. But it’s a Challenger.
[Translate]
Good morning Alex.
Your Contributors that are non “car guys” will think this is some kind of code talk, but I have a query.
Magnaflow or Flowmaster?
Cheers.
[Translate]
Magnaflow, catback, drone.
Loud and proud.
[Translate]
Mopar rocks! I have been a mopar nut since about 1970. I used to own a 1970 Challenger R/T 440 with automatic. Orange with black treatments. Wicked ride!

Can’t help sharing a thought on the God thing in politics and basic human affairs. I’m not religious except in the occasionally overwhelming and healthy sense of my own ignorance. But I do think…. the trouble starts not when God divides us, (No concept of God with any credibility allows that as a possibility) , but when we presume to divide Him.

Thanks generation greed

strange indeed, terry lake is touting LNG so as to not depend upon coal fired energy whilst his comrade pat bell is praising coal mining to the skies! these guys aren’t even on the same page. bell is saying there are no workers found in bc to work the coal mines, has he even tried? not that I want coal mines, LNG or pipelines. who sponsors these workers? the feds okayed this ploy so how long have they known about bc “needing” these workers? once again, families first! just not bc families….
