All this week there has been a big spiffing up at Vanship because apparently the person responsible for the Federal Fleet Renewal Program will be touring the yard on Monday. I thought for sure Christy would not miss this opportunity for a photo-op and to take some credit for getting Seaspan the contract but maybe she will pass because of a real bad Migraine!

Even Keith Baldry and Sean Leslie and Vaughn Palmer and Bill Good deserve to see this for themselves so that they may feel the bitter shame of their children, their friends and their families for selling out their ethics and principles only so that so dirty a bunch as the Liberals and their corporate hacks would pretend to call them “friend”. They can feel the shame of getting down on bended knee to kiss the ring of those who have defrauded this wonderful province and its people with their pathetic and faulty pen.
Even Basi and Virk need to be able to visit the site so that they may hold out faint hope that justice will come to those who set them up to take the fall.
Even the Liberal back benchers need to see that they have been serving under a liar and a cheat (I suppose that they would have to be willfully deaf and blind not to already know that). Perhaps they will see that Van Dongen was right and maybe they will even join him. (They better act quickly after the release).
I can only hope that this will end up being the real deal and that Christy will be toast.

There is a curiosity about the trial that still needs answering: How is it that the very day before Gary Collins was going to testify, the trial was stopped? The perps suddenly pled guilty when they had fought all along? Did Collins threaten Gordon Campbell by saying ‘If I go down so will you?’ Sure, speculation on my part by interesting nevertheless. In this case Justice needs to be SEEN to be done. Will Gordon Campbell seek asylum in the Ecuadorian embassy in London too? Fun huh?
