Do You Know Vision Vancouver’s Marcella Munro?

2

Since I’ve spent the last few days introducing you to a couple of other behind the scenes players with Vision Vancouver and how they mindlessly shovel for the radical agenda they’ve hobbled the city with, I thought I’d peel back the curtain and give you a glimpse of a big shot, too.

Enter Marcella Munro–sourpuss, nasty, vicious and unrelenting–most particularly when she’s caught lying. We’ll get to that in a minute, but I have to tell you, NONE, of those adjectives I’ve just used to describe her were in play when we were friends.

I quite liked Marcella. I thought she was intelligent (which she is) and sassy. I thought she was able to maintain her composure when on the attack or being attacked, but it appears the bloodsport of politics is okay to Marcella, so long as she’s administering polite commentary–but with the kind of blunt force trauma you’d expect from someone wanting to kill you.

Over the years, her star as a political organizer, or “handicapper” as she refers to herself, has faded, only to be replaced with the bitterness and nastiness of someone clearly not thinking through what’s best for anybody else–except her and Vision Vancouver.

This kind of selfishness is what’s really wrong with politics today, and for Marcella to be committing to it in spades, day in day out, is the tin ear I would have expected of a beginner.

Case in point: On Tuesday of this week she was on CBC Radio with Mike Klassen of citycaucus.com. No secret, Mike and Daniel (Fontaine) have provided Vision with more than just a sleepless month or six. But Marcella’s comments to me, when we were still speaking, was that they were “just lying all the time.”

Well…I’m not too sure about that, but I am willing to tell you that on Tuesday morning, she was the one doing the BSing.

In the midst of talking about civic affairs, she viciously goes after Klassen for the alleged indiscretion of working for Sam Sullivan’s office “off the books.”

Meaning, that Mike Klassen was nefariously collecting paycheques while doing communications work for then Mayor Sam.

This has to rank as one of the most disgusting examples of how to SMEAR an opponent instead of speak to the issues, but it didn’t seem to matter to Marcella–as she repeated it–TWICE.

Now, I understand that as a Vision hierarch and bobblehead, she understands the difficulties her disintegrating party are facing. I appreciate how difficult it must be to have lost the vast majority of the media and to be even strength with an NPA that aren’t even fully re-constituted yet. I know she’s upset at me for turning on Gregor, but he LIED and so did she and so did the entire Vision crew–right through the last election. Their policies are hurtful, doctrinaire nonsense. If I knew this is the kind of crap Vision would be shoveling, I would have written much differently than I did.

I get it Marcella; your’re pissed off–it’s all come apart on you.

But to lie about someone in public with the intention to injure, on the CBC?

Let me help everyone out here. NO ONE wrote more devastatingly about Sam’s reign of error than me. No one. I had the inside access and knew all the players, inside and out. The same goes now with Gregor’s crew. I’m blessed to know a great number of folks.

But I also know Klassen, and while I’ve had my differences with Mike, if there is one thing he is not, is a cheat.  Same goes for Fontaine. They’re decent guys.

When the real story is eventually told about how Mike Klassen worked for the Mayor, the only thing he’s going to be embarrassed about is how little he charged to make sense of the ramblings of an extremely stubborn mayor, who would not listen to reason and ignored advice more often than not.

Klassen billed appropriately and honestly–there was nothing nefarious or sinister about what he did. I’ve seen some of the paperwork–and, no, not through Mike.

For Marcella Munro, another Vision huffy harridan, to publicly slander Mike Klassen on province-wide radio is a despicable act that is deserving of censure and redress. But again, I understand it must be hard to have Vision Vancouver dying a full year ahead of the election. I get it, I get it…

All this shows, my friends, is that Marcella Munro is an ineffective communicator on political matters, since her emotions are raw from the severe beating her party is taking.

Maybe that’s why she relies on pals like the Vancouver Sun’s Kirk LaPointe, to get Vision favorable op/eds into their propaganda, er, I mean, editorial section. (Have a look at the list of her “fav” reporters/journalists).

What Marcella managed to do Tuesday morning was disgrace herself and further sully Vision Vancouver.

Very, very sad to watch someone I once respected and found a breath of fresh air to so desperately, but willfully, try to injure a man with lies.

You owe the CBC, Mike and Mike’s family an apology Marcella.

Like your party, you’ve become a bitter disgrace.

Pity.

You’ve got to start hanging out in classier places Alex; I mean, where do you find these people you talk of? Marcella Munro, is that an alias or for real? I’ve never heard of her before and hope to never hear from or of her again. It’s either that, or I’ve gotta start getting out a lot more!
