BREAKING NEWS: Vancouver City Hall in $20 Million Dollar Shortfall
You read it here first.
My very best source at silly Hall tells me that Penny Ballem and her minions are scrambling to make sure the (mandated) balanced budget appears exactly that.
As you know the charter demands that the City budget be balanced, but this year, thanks to the RIDICULOUS run of extremist programs, mostly of the cycling variety, they have put Vancouver into a $20 million dollar deficit.
So how do they get around it?
Well, by dipping into the Property Endowment Fund–at least that’s their current plan.
Remember, they will tell you I’m wrong, I’m a madman, I hate them, I shoot kittens, Third World hunger is my fault…but they won’t be able to hide it forever.
Stay tuned, more on this soon.

This is a GREAT example of what is going to happen to the province when the NDP get back into power (with thanks to Gordon Campbell).
Meggs is so deep in the NDP, if this is how they ruin a city, just imagine what they will do to the province.
Giving the keys to the cookie jar to a bunch of socialists has ended in disaster EVERY bloody time.

Very good points.

Alex, I for one don’t believe that 3rd World hunger is your fault.
Cheers

Not unless you consider my previous over-consumption… LOL!

You shoot kittens? “They Shoot Horses Don’t They?” Guess everyone saw the Big O on The View? This what Gregor wants, nothing but adoring fans, fawning and feigning, most of them old enough to be his mother.

LOL! Mostly, Gregor wants no antithetical voices. I’m reading a great piece on Russia in the latest ‘Foreign Affairs’ and there is a fascinating angle which almost mirrors Vision Vancouver’s rise…

The idiotocracy at its full bloom. Rape and pillage the future for some inane social tinkering today. The sad part of this festering and ongoing lunacy is that it is going to take years to repair the damage, and restore the reputation of the City. Majority be damned in this theatre.

You said it, brother!

My info is also that the City appears to be heading for a $20M deficit. In fact they say it will probably be more.
I hope a good investigative reporter will get on-going City financial status reports through to the year end including the PEF. It is my guess Vision will try to fudge the books to hide this deficit. An obvious way is to try to misuse the PEF assets.

I’m all over it, trust me.
